Residents have one more chance to pick up a piece of Butler County history. The Butler Area School District is extending its sale of furniture and other items from the now-closed Butler Middle School.

The sale will run 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7.

Butler Middle School closed after the 2021-22 school year due to declining enrollment, with students funneled to either the district’s elementary schools or Butler Intermediate High School.

According to Butler Area School District’s website, public tours of the building have been postponed until the chairs, tables, furniture and other items have been cleared from the hallways.
