Ella M. Piccola, 94, of Butler passed away Wednesday at her home.

Born Oct. 3, 1917, in Kaylor, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Fabina Grazioli Serafine.

She was a resident manager for the Oliver T. Carr Co. in Washington, D.C., for 20 years. After returning to Butler, she worked for the VNA for a number of years.

Ella was a member of the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler. She was a former member of the Ladies Altar Society of the Saint Michael Archangel Parish.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Patricia Ann) Langley of Arlington, Va., and Mrs. William (Teresa) DallaPiccola Wood of Pittsburgh; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Wanda Piccola of Butler; three sisters, Mrs. Duane (Thelma) Courson of Emlenton, Mrs. Virginia Morrow of Tarentum, and Mrs. Ken (Wilma) Texter of Karns City; one brother, Mr. Fred Serafine of Emlenton; seven grandchildren, Brent, Erika, David, Shelly, Ian, Corey, and Chloe; and six great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Piccola Sr., who passed away Feb. 26, 1983, and by one son, Frank J. Piccola Jr., who passed away May 26, 2007.

<B>PICCOLA</B> — Friends of Ella M. Piccola, who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, will be received at <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. James Dolan, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Saint Michael Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish will meet at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Sunday for a Scriptural Wake Service.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
