A photograph of the front of the old Penn Theater on Main Street can be seen in “The Photography Show, The Power of Image” opening Friday at The Art Center.

“The Photography Show, The Power of Image” opening Friday at The Art Center has about 100 entries.

The images have been judged and award ribbons will be presented during the opening reception from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

The reception will feature music by Nic Landon and Sean Garee who will perform hot jazz, Celtic, folk and some classic banjo along with guitar and violin.

There also will be a beer tasting provided by Kaliber Brewing of Connoquenessing during the opening reception.

The Art Center is at 344 S. Main St.

Gallery hours are noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
