Rice

Ray E. Rice Jr., 74, of Evans City, formerly of Harmony, died Monday at his home.

Born March 20, 1933, in Jackson Township, he was the son of Ray Sr. and Rose Szeles Rice.

Mr. Rice was an Army Korean War veteran.

For most of his life, he worked as a plumber and all-around handy man, finishing his career working for the Zelienople Historical Society.

He was a member of American Legion Post 219 in Zelienople.

Mr. Rice enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by two sons, Vincent Reidenbach of Alabama and Craig Rice of Maine; a daughter, Tammy Greenway of Missouri; stepdaughters, Darla Reidenbach of Zelienople, Cheri Reidenbach of Evans City, Jody Bard of Butler, and Susie Gainor of Virginia; a stepson, Jeff Reidenbach of Butler; and a sister, Janet Sharp of Zelienople. He also is survived by seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle, and his companion, Gloria Reidenbach.
