Puz

Anne D. Puz, 88, of the Butler Arbors Apartments died Sunday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in West Winfield, Dec. 26, 1917, she was a daughter of Michael and Mary Baumchich Brozenick.

She was a homemaker and formerly lived in the Cabot area, where she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Since moving to Butler, she attended St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are a son, Daniel A. Puz of Butler; three daughters, Cecelia Puz and Mrs. William (Delores) Altman, both of Butler, and Patricia Washburn of Florida; and two sisters, Mrs. Owen "Hap" (Jennie) Owens of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Odley (Emma) Macurdy of Cabot. Five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

She was the widow of Andrew P. Puz, who died Sept. 11, 1972. She also was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

<B>PUZ</B> — A Mass of Christian burial for Anne D. Puz, who died Sunday, March 26, 2006, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St. The Rev. Pierre Falkenhan, will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary of the Assumption Cemetery, Herman.
