Eileen R. Prokop
Eileen Rose Croyle Prokop, 79, of Butler, formerly of Kittanning, died Tuesday.
Born July 3, 1926, in Saint Marys, Elk County, she was the daughter of George and Josephine Schwabenbauer Hammer.
She was a cafeteria worker for the Armstrong School District for several years.
Mrs. Prokop attended St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora and St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Kittanning. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
She enjoyed going to flea markets, auctions and playing bingo.
Surviving are two sons, Ted J. Croyle Jr. and his wife, Dolores, of Kittanning and Robert D. Croyle and his wife, Nancy, of Worthington; three daughters, Linda Archer Davidson and her husband, Ken, of Denver, Colo., Patricia Hogle and her husband, Neil, of Lansing, Mich., and Nancy Steele and her husband, Barry, of Brockport, N.Y.; two stepsons, Johnathan M. Prokop of Volant and Kevin J. Prokop of Butler; three stepdaughters, Elizabeth Lachesky and Patricia Mann, both of Chicora, and Linda Coco of Allison Park.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ted J. Croyle Sr., who died Feb. 3, 1975; her second husband, John Prokop, who died June 5, 2002; and six brothers.
<B>PROKOP </B>— Friends of Eileen Rose Croyle Prokop, who died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services</B>, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Mary, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Kittanning, with the Rev. Raphael Glinkowski officiating.
