Frank D. Comer III, 66, of Aurora, Colo., passed away July 13 at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colo.

Born March 27, 1946, in Butler, he was the son of Frank D. Comer Jr. and the late Muriel (Bachman) Comer.

Frank was a graduate of Knoch High School. He was a prosthetist employed by Innovative Prosthetic & Orthotic Professionals in Denver.

He is survived by his wife, Pat (Epley) Comer of Aurora, Colo.; his father, Frank D. Comer Jr. and his stepmother, Velma (Cooper) Comer of Meridian; his children, Keith (Tammy) Comer of Fenelton, Kevin (Cindy) Comer of Herman, Frank (Tammy) Comer IV of Washington, D.C., David (Rebecca) Comer of Lyndora, Rochelle Comer of Pittsburgh, Richard Comer of Byers, Colo., Jock Comer of Aurora, Colo., and Beth Comer of Aurora, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his brother, Larry (Donna) Comer; stepsister, Debra (Drew) Fejko; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Frank was preceded in death by his mother.

COMER — A private funeral service was held in Aurora, Colo., for Frank D. Comer III, who died Friday, July 13, 2012. There will be a picnic in his honor for family and friends at the Meridian Vets Club Shelter, 125 Meridian Vets Club Road, Butler, at 5 p.m. Saturday.
