Lewis J. Negley
Lewis J. Negley, 71, of Saxonburg passed away Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born April 4, 1941, in Altoona, he was the son of Meredith Negley and Faye Sipes Negley.
Lou graduated from Knoch High School in 1959 and from Parson's College in Fairfield, Iowa. He taught fourth grade and he was a principal at Elkton Elementary School in Ohio. He had coached eighth grade football and basketball at Beaver Local High School.
Lou was the owner of Lou Negley's Bottled Water. He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot. He enjoyed hunting and watching his grandchildren's activities.
Surviving are his mother, Faye Sipes Negley of Cabot; two sons, John L. (Heston) Negley of Butler and Shawn A. (Megan) Negley of Butler; three daughters, Lisa (Roger) Percy of Lyndora, Theresa M (Raymond) Hooks of Renfrew and Alisa A. (Tony) Geitgey of Butler; one brother, Joseph Negley of Butler; and 11 grandchildren, Tia, Shayla, Andrew, Cory, Amanda, Cade, Blaine, Cordray, McKenna, Gracie and Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his father and his wife, Rita M. Traggiai Negley, who died on Nov. 18, 2012.
NEGLEY — Friends of Lewis J. Negley, who passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Father Ward Stakem officiating.
