Paul S. Schneider
Paul S. Schneider, 87, of Butler passed away at 2:50 p.m. Saturday at his home.
He was born on Aug. 15, 1926, in New Castle to the late Stephen Schneider and Edith (Kumrow) Schneider.
Mr. Schneider was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving with the 400th Army Field Artillery during World War II in Germany and Yugoslavia.
He founded Schneider's Heating, Inc. in 1953, owning and operating it until his retirement in 1983.
Mr. Schneider was a member of Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church and American Legion Post 778 of Lyndora. He was a life member of the Loyal Order of the Moose 64. Mr. Schneider enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
Mr. Schneider is survived by his three sons, Michael P. Schneider and his wife, Cindy, Samuel Schneider and his wife, Sandy, and Gary W. Schneider and his wife, Sharon, all of Butler; his two daughters, Paula J. Wolf and her husband, Roger, and Dianna L. Reynolds and her husband, William, both of Butler; his 10 grandchildren, and his 10 great-grandchildren.
His two sisters, Clare Bonnett of Napa, Calif., and Mary Krueger and her husband, William, of Wampum, Pa.; his sister-in-law, Sylvia Wansittler of New Castle, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Erla Schneider, who he married on May 6, 1953, and who passed away on Aug. 25, 1988, and his two brothers.
SCHNEIDER — The friends of Paul S. Schneider, who passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Curtis of the Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will take place in Mt.
