Edward J. Fair
Edward J. Fair, 81, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Sept. 21, 1933, in Huey, Pa., the son of the late Edward P. Fair and Irene (Goldinger) Fair.
Ed was a member of the VFW Honor Guard and veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He loved Pittsburgh sports, baseball and football. He enjoyed doing word searches.
He retired from the Butler Post Office in 1997.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Judy (Myers) Fair; his daughter, Tracy (Brian) Loch of Butler; his son, David Fair of Butler; son-in-law, John Cerruti of Kittanning; five grandchildren, Tyler, Mackenna, Wyatt, Jessica and John; one great-grandson, Wyatt; and two sisters, Maybell (Omar) Smith of Rimersburg and Marie (Drew) Koch of Rimersburg.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, two sisters and two brothers.
FAIR — A memorial service for Edward J. Fair, who died Tuesday, June 9, 2015, will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Lyndora American Legion Post 778, 150 Legion Memorial Lane, Butler.
