John R. Adams
John R. Adams, 85, of Saxonburg passed away Sunday at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.
He was born Nov. 25, 1932, in Lyndora, and was the son of the late John J. and Anna Gonko Adams.
John was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army.
He retired after 40 years of service as a State Farm agent, winning many company awards from his office in Vandergrift.
John was a member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights, the Leechburg Elks and the Tarentum Area Lions Club.
He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and traveling.
John is survived by his children, Scott (Carleen) Adams of Lake Geneva, Wis., and Kathy Chopp (Joe Carozza) of Adams Township; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Adams of Pittsburgh; and his sister, Marti Kopie of Delaware.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn R. Rogalski Adams, who died on June 3, 2015; and by his son, John R. Adams Jr., who died on Feb. 17, 2002.

Adams, who died Sunday, May 27, 2018.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at noon Saturday in Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights, with the Rev.
