Family Bowlaway and Peoples Gas recently partnered to raise $2,000 as a donation for the Lifesteps Child Check Service.

Peoples donated one dollar for every soft drink purchase at Family Bowlaway until 2,000 soft drinks were sold.

Child Check is a free developmental/Autism screening. It evaluates the child’s social skills and development in playing, talking, seeing, hearing, moving and thinking.

Donations help Lifesteps offer the service to the community without a fee.

HARRISVILLE — Harrisville American Legion Post 852 recently honored Ron Buchanan, Richard Hesselgesser, Richard (John) McGowan and Robert Simmons for 50 years of membership during the Legion birthday dinner.
