Whitney Ann Jenkins band celebrates release of 1st album
PITTSBURGH — The band, Whitney Ann Jenkins and Her Platonic Guy Friends, will celebrate the release of their debut album Saturday at the Club Café, 56 S. 12th St.
“Down Stage Left” is a melodic adventure taking the listener on a journey through the rises and falls of a romance within oneself.
The 10 tracks on the CD feature semi-acoustic folk-rock shaded by a variety of musical influences.
The band consists of Jenkins of Winfield Township, vocals and guitar; Nicholas Paul, guitar and harmonica; Jim Puskar, drums; Rowen Poole, bass; and Robin Hasenpflug of Butler, cello.
Tom Pappas of Butler will open for the event.
Tickets are $5 and available at www.clubcafelive.com. Doors open at 6 p.m.; the show starts at 7 p.m.
