Mark Sims

Mark Robert Sims, 60, of Worthington passed away Tuesday at Allegheny Valley Hospital.

Born on Dec. 14, 1952, in Butler, he was the son of Mary (Sasse) and the late Mark G. Sims.

He was employed at Armstrong Cement for 42 years.

He was a longtime member of the St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville. He was a member of Buffalo Valley Sportsman's Club and Harley.

Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially riding his Harley with his wife.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 38 years, Sandra (Logan) Sims; loving father to his children, Bobbi (Brett) Johns of Tarentum and Jason (Brooke) Sims of Slate Lick; and adored his four grandchildren, Gabrielle Sims, Jason Sims, Brettlyn Johns and Jaden Johns. He is also survived by his brothers, Tim (Lori) Sims of Butler and Jeff (Deb) Sims of Sarver; his in-laws, Bob Logan of Butler, John (Laura) Logan of Cabot and Shawn and Judy Henkel of Cabot; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a very special uncle, Gary Sasse.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Herman and Elizabeth Logan, and his brother-in-law, Butch Logan.

SIMS — Friends of Mark Robert Sims, who passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home, 119 Bear St., Worthington. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville.
