• 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Karns City Municipal Building
• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Slippery Rock Area Park Building
• 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Adams Township Municipal Building
• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Butler Township Park Building.

Halloween events planned by parksThe Butler County Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Haunted Bonfire with storyteller Ron Lockwood will begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Masonic Shelter in Alameda Park.There will be food, crafts, games and a candy hunt.The department is also planning a Haunted Road Trip from 4 p.m. to midnight on Oct. 27.The trip will include a buffet dinner, haunted barn, corn maze, hayride, Carn-Evil, bonfire and fireworks.Registration is required for both events and can be made by calling 724-284-5383.
Pumpkin fest slated for parkBRUIN — The Bruin Pumpkin Fest sponsored by Faith Community Church will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday in Bruin Community Park.There will be food, vendors, games, crafts, a petting zoo and wagon rides.For more information, call Faith Community Church at 724-753-2270.
