Bernice L. Hilovsky, 81, of Butler died Friday at the Sunnyview Home.

Born Oct. 24, 1925, in Sagamore, Pa., she was the daughter of Lawrence and Anna Grela Kravits.

She was a graduate of West Winfield High School and had worked in the dietary department of the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center for 20 years until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, the Womens Club of St. Fidelis, and was active in church activities.

Mrs. Hilovsky enjoyed cooking, baking and polka dancing, and she was also devoted to her family and grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Paul P. Hilovsky, whom she married June 19, 1948; two daughters, Diane Anderson of Butler and Michelle Follett and her husband, William, of Cranberry Township; two sons, Dr. Jeffrey P. Hilovsky and his wife, Marcia, of Millsboro, Del., and Lawrence T. Hilovsky and his wife, Joan, of Douglasville; 10 grandchildren, Valerie Aponte, Krystal Anderson, Timothy, Katie, Brad, Kelly and Allison Hilovsky, and Ben, Dan and Pat Follett; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Laura Adamsky of Peters Township and Stella Zembruski of New Kensington; a god child, Darlene Krynicki of Fox Chapel; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

<B>Hilovsky — </B>Friends of Bernice L. Hilovsky, who died May 18, 2007, will be received at the <B>geibel funeral home </B>from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Meridian. Burial will follow in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at the Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery. The Bereavement Committee of St. Fidelis Parish will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home to recite the Rosary.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
