Jean Stewart, 93, of Mars passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at her home.

Born May 22, 1923, Jean was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Ethel Geyer and spent most of her childhood being lovingly raised by her uncle and aunt, Albert and Susan Conley of Oakdale, Pa.

She graduated from Oakdale High School and was a graduate of the Nobel Thompson Business School.

She was employed by Fisher Scientific in Pittsburgh until her marriage of 56 years to Rae Stewart of Mars, who preceded her in death. Jean worked for 30 years at the Mars Drug Store, where she enjoyed meeting and serving multiple generations of shoppers at “The Drug Store.”

She was also preceded in death by her much loved siblings, Esther Truver, Dorothy Purvis and Bill and George Geyer.

Surviving are her daughters, Nancy (Charles) Jennings of Butler and Becky (Craig) Johnson of St. Simons Island, Ga.; her granddaughter, Heather (Steve) Evanko; and her great-granddaughters, Sydney and Addy, both of Butler.

STEWART — A graveside service for Jean Stewart, who died Saturday, March 4, 2017, was held privately by her family.

Arrangements were handled by McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
