BUTLER TWP — Tickets are now available for a dance to be held from 8:30 p.m. to midnight Friday in Holiday Hall at the Butler Days Inn, Route 8.Admission is $50 per couple and proceeds benefit Multiple Sclerosis of Butler.Music will be provided by the Bobby Nicholas Trio. MARSHALL TWP, Allegheny County — The Zelienople Rotary Club will host an art auction Thursday at the Four Points Sheraton North.An auction preview will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the live auction will start at 7:30 p.m.Acash bar, hors d'oeuvres and desserts will be available.Auction items include fine artwork and autographed sports memorabilia and guitars.Proceeds from the event benefit the Rotary's annual scholarship fund, Meals on Wheels, VOICe and other area organizations.Tickets are $15 each, $25 per couple or $125 for a table of ten. Tickets may be purchased at the door, by contacting any Zelienople Rotarian or by calling Joella Richard Baker at 724-321-4265.
CHERRY TWP — The Dassa McKinney Elementary School will host its spring concert and art show at 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school auditorium, 1810 West Sunbury Road.An art show, featuring student art projects, will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby.
CRANBERRY TWP — The Southern Butler County Garden Club will conduct its second annual Perennial Plant and Herb Sale from 8:30 a.m. to noon May 6 at the Cranberry Township Community Park, behind the Cranberry Township Fire Station.The sale will be conducted rain or shine.
SLIPPERY ROCK — A Victorian Tea will be held at 4 p.m. May 7 at the Slippery Rock University Alumni House to benefit the Slippery Rock Community Library.The event will include music, a period had display and English tea.Tickets are $25 each and are available at the library or by calling 724-738-9179 or 724-283-2279. Ticket sales will close Monday.
