FAIRVIEW TWP — Firefighters extinguished a small electrical fire at the house at 152 Redwood Lane about 3:30 p.m. Friday

The homeowner called 911 after a malfunction of the electrical panel caused the siding of the house to catch on fire, said Chuck Barnes, chief of the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department.

Firefighters quickly put out the fire, which caused minimal damage, all to the exterior of the house.

The Petrolia and Chicora fire departments responded to the call as did West Penn Power.
