PITTSBURGH — The Pitt men's basketball team will begin the new year with a new lineup when the Panthers host Lafayette at the Petersen Events Center at 7 p.m. today.

No. 13 Pitt (11-1) is reeling from losing small forward Mike Cook and point guard Levance Fields in consecutive games last month. Cook is out for the season with a knee injury suffered in Pitt's victory over Duke. Fields broke his foot in an 80-55 upset loss to Dayton and will miss at least two months.

Redshirt freshman Gilbert Brown is replacing Cook, while senior Ronald Ramon is the team's new point guard.
