William Richard “Dick” Kriess of Hobart, Ind., passed away March 24.

He was the son of the late William and Gertrude Kriess of Butler.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley; his son, Robert (Rita) Kriess of South Carolina; his daughter, Audrey (Stephen) Pawlak of Indiana; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He also is survived by five brothers, Henry Kriess, Larry (Pat) Kriess, Jack (Jane) Kriess, Ronald (Sally) Kriess and Gary (Diane) Kriess, all of Butler; and two sisters, Marlin Guest and Suzanne Weiland, both of Butler.

He was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
