Margaret "Peggy" Mohr, of Simi Valley, Calif., a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Mother's Day, May 13, at home with her family after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray "Loppy" in heaven.

Born Feb. 7, 1931, Peggy grew up in Evans City.

She met and married the love of her life, Loppy Mohr, in 1948. They moved to Zelienople in 1965, where they lived until they retired in 1989.

After retiring, they traveled across the United States and settled in California to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Everyone who knew Peggy will remember her bright smile, sense of humor, outgoing personality and loving ways. From the moment you met her, you felt as if you were her best friend or one of her children.

While living in California after she retired, Peggy managed a number of apartment complexes, where everyone referred to her as "Grandma."

Even when she knew her time was short, she kept smiling and never gave up hope. She was concerned more for everyone else than for herself. She was loved by all and will never be forgotten.

Peggy is survived by her children, Nancy Mohr, Dave Mohr, Jack Mohr and Suzanne Mackrell; grandchildren, Erika, Brian, Kevin, Kari, John David, Jonathan, Jennifer and Jacquline; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Wingard; and a brother-in-law, Jake Mohr.

<B>MOHR</B> — A celebration of the life of Margaret "Peggy" Mohr, who died Sunday, May 13, 2007, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Simi Hills Christian Church, Walnut Street.Assisting the family with funeral arrangements is the <B>Rose Family Funeral Home & Cremation</B>, Simi Valley.
