‘Lens on Litter’ photo contest entries being accepted

“Drowning in Pollution,” above, along with “License and Litter, Please” were the winning photos from the 2022 Lens on Litter Contest. Photos are now being accepted for the 2023 contest for amateur photographers.

Amateur photographers are invited to submit an entry for the Pennsylvania Resource Council’s Gene Capaldi Lens on Litter photo contest, which focuses attention on the statewide issue of litter.

Three cash prizes will be awarded in each of the contest’s two categories, which are student and adult. Top prize in each group is $500.

Entrants are encouraged to initiate a cleanup of their photographed area for extra judging points.

High resolution digital images can be sent to lensonlitter@prc.org.

Prints no smaller than 4-by-6-inches and no larger than 8-by-10-inches may be sent to PRC Gene Capaldi Lens on Litter Contest, 1671 N. Providence Road, Media, Pa. 19063.

All entries must include the entrant’s name, address, telephone number, email address, a title for the photo, location of litter site photographed, and how the entrant learned of the contest.

Deadline for receipt of photos is Oct. 31.

Complete details, previous winners and an online submission form are available at prc.org/programs/projects/lens-litter.
