Golden Tornado down N.A. on links

Three Butler golfers shot 38 or better as the Golden Tornado boys downed North Allegheny, 188-192, Thursday at Slippery Rock Golf Club.

Hunter Swidzinski led the way with a 35, followed by Wyatt Kos (37) and Levi McClellan (38).

For NA, Ravi Desai and Colin Ward both carded a 37 and Colin Bende a 38.

The Golden Tornado now stand at 4-1 overall and 2-1 in section play.

Freeport 186, Knoch 207 — The Yellowjackets (5-1, 5-0) fared much better on the back nine at Buffalo Golf Course, with Lillie Snow and Stephen Evans both coming in with a 36.

Knoch was paced by a 37 from Aaron Voltz.

Mars 187, North Hills 224 — Will Campbell managed a 35 as the Planets cruised past the Indians at Butler Country Club.

Also scoring for Mars was Lukas Singh (36), Matt Mueller (37), James Kinghorn (39) and Colin Stevenson (40).

Seneca Valley dropped a 3-2 decision to Beaver, with the Raiders earning wins in doubles play from the duos of Marlee Jones/Anna Coon and Cady Shea/Lily Wood.
