Joan “Noney” Phyllis Wirt
Joan “Noney” Phyllis Wirt, 85, of Butler passed away Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 6, 1932, in Petrolia, the daughter of the late Ralph Kamerer Day and the late Ethel Carrie Larimore Day.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Gail (George J.) Staples of Myakka City, Fla.; two sons, Robert Charles (Dawn) Wirt Jr. of Sinnamahoning, Pa., and Darren Todd Wirt of Butler; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; five sisters, June Griffiths, Maxine Kamerer, Harriet Yough, Joyce Collier and Cindy Coleman; four brothers, Dick Day, Regis “Biz” Day, Robert “Bob” Day and Larry Day; and many nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death, along with her parents, by her husband, Robert Charles Wirt Sr.; her brother, Lew Day; and one grandson.
WIRT — A memorial service for Joan “Noney” Phyllis Wirt, who died Friday, March 3, 2017, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev. Sam McNamara, pastor, officiating. Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Young Funeral Home, Ltd., P.O.
