Helen C. Hersick
Helen C. Hersick, 77, of Zelienople, formerly of Shaler Township, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday at St. Barnabas, Gibsonia.
Born Oct. 24, 1936, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edna (Summerville) Kripavicius.
Helen was a graduate of Peabody High School and attended St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople.
After 18 years of dedicated work, she retired from the admissions department at West Penn Hospital.
In her free time, Helen loved gardening, reading, socializing with friends, and traveling, but above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, who was wise, fun-loving, supportive, and enthusiastic. She raised her children as a single mother with love, tenderness and devotion.
She is survived by her three children, Diane (Bruce) Falzarano of Roseville, Calif., Joe (Joanna) Hersick of Zelienople, and Michael (Wendy) Hersick of Aliso Viejo, Calif., and her six grandchildren, Lauren and Claire Falzarano, and Sam, James, Zach and Sophie Hersick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Barbara Ford and Joan Spicer.

Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Wednesday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with Father Lawrence R. Smith celebrating.
