Norma Jean (Frederick) Knauer
Norma Jean (Frederick) Knauer, 73, of Renfrew passed away at 2 a.m. Monday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born on Jan. 13, 1941, in Butler to the late James William Frederick and Magdalen “Lena” (Ferezan) Frederick.
Norma was a 1958 graduate of Butler High School. She worked as a travel agent at Dunn's Travel Service since 1975. Norma was a partner at Travel Center of Butler, Inc. since 1990, retiring in 2003.
She was a member of the Crossfire Church.
Norma is survived by her husband, Robert B. Knauer, whom she married on Oct. 8, 1960; two sons, Robert David Knauer of Renfrew, and Jeffrey Paul Knauer and his wife, Amy, and their children, Adam and Evan Knauer of Butler; her daughter, Robin Whann and her husband, Victor, and their children, Jacob and Nicholas Whann of Butler; her mother-in-law, Helen Knauer of Butler; her brother, Dennis James Frederick and his wife, Marilyn, of Dallas, Texas; her sister, Judith Ann Fry and her husband, Harry, of Butler, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Knauer — The friends of Norma Jean (Frederick) Knauer, who passed away Monday, May 26, 2014, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E.
