Butler golf off to 2-0 start
Hunter Swidzinski carded a 34 on Tuesday as Butler’s boys golf team defeated Knoch, 189-234, at Slippery Rock Golf Club.
Boden Lenyk and Jase Renwick both shot 37 for the Golden Tornado (2-0). Aaron Voltz led Knoch with a 40. Mason Phillips and Aiden Froedtert both carded 47.
Mars 187, North Catholic 206 — Will Campbell led the Planets with a 35. Colin Stevenson followed with a 37, Lukas Singh and James Kinghorn 38, Matt Mueller a 39 for the Planets.
KSAC Mega Match — Chloe Fritch shot a 36 for Karns City to place fourth overall at the KSAC Mega Match held at Hi-Level Course. Moniteau’s Connor Ealy tied for fifth with a 37 while A-C Valley/Union’s Joe Rapp shot a 38 to finish eighth.
Clarion won the match with a 192. Moniteau was fifth with 213, A-C Valley/Union seventh with 236 and Karns City ninth with 253.
Butler (girls) 185, Plum 207 — Macie McLister earned medalist honors with a 37 for the Golden Tornado ion this match at 3 Lakes. Paige Ponteous shot a 39.
Butler takes on Mars at Hiland Golf Course on Thursday.
