Moniteau girls win 1st Mega Match
Moniteau had the top five girls in the field Monday in winning the first KSAC Mega Match of the season at Aubrey’s Dubb’s Dred.
The Warriors shot a 142, Cranberry was second at 214 and Union/A-C Valley was third with a 228. Mariska Shunk earned medalist honors with a 43. The Warriors’ Kendall Sankey shot a 47, Jessie Stocks a 52, Taylor Voloch a 53 and Sophee Hazlett a 58.
Ruby Watson of Union/A-C Valley shot 58 as well.
Pine-Richland 183, Butler 215 (girls) — Paige Ponteous shared medalist honors with a 41, but the Golden Tornado girls dropped their season opener at Conley’s.
Butler takes on Plum at 3 p.m. Tuesday at 3 Lakes Golf Course.

Freeport 204, St. Joseph’s 333 — Jayden Diehl and Lillie Snow shared medalist honors with a 39 for the Yellowjackets. Cam Zigo and Ethan Crooks both shot 41 while Aiden Bauman carded a 44.
Region 2 match — Grove City carded a 332 to win this six-team event at Deer Run. West Middlesex had a 335, Wilmington 339, Slippery Rock 345, Sharon 350 and Sharpsville 405.
Trent Davey paced Slippery Rock with a 79. Grove City’s Isaac Allen was medalist with a 76.
