Commuters in both Karns City and Fairview Township should stay alert, as road crews are repaving a stretch of Route 268.

The repaving, which will begin Tuesday, Aug. 8 and is expected to last until Aug. 18, will affect the stretch of road between the intersections of Kaylor and Hooker roads. During the repaving, traffic will be reduced to one lane and directed by flaggers.

Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. is the contractor in charge of the repaving project. The construction schedule is not ironclad and may be affected by weather.
