America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company that focuses on bringing attention to local, independently owned restaurants, will bring its ABR Roadshow to the Beacon Hotel from 3 to 6 p.m. Aug. 21.

Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an on-camera interview with owner Debra Krelow about the restaurant’s place in the community.

“We’re very involved in community affairs ...,” Krelow said. “I refer to us as a mom and pop with a flair.”

Food items that could be featured on the episode include their Fat Tuesday seafood boils, the fish sandwich that is available on Fridays and Saturdays, and wings with popular homemade sauces such as jerk, blaster and atomic.

The premiere date of the episode will be announced on the Beacon’s Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website.
