Kathryn M. Quinn

Kathryn M. Quinn, 94, of Callery passed away Saturday at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born June 26, 1922, in Boynton, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Henry Bowers and the late Agnes Hetz Bowers.

Kathryn retired in 2007 at the age of 84 from St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars, where she served in many positions, including an employee in-service instructor for more than 40 years.

She was a longtime member of St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church. Kathryn enjoyed quilting and working on puzzles, but above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.

She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

Kathyrn married Howard Quinn on May 29, 1941, and he preceded her in death Oct. 17, 2007.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Ruth Ann Shaner of Callery, Kathryn Henry and her husband, Reese, of Cranberry Township, Agnes Burr and her husband, Randy, of Clarion and MaryAnn Healy and her husband, Michael, of Butler; her sons, William J. Quinn of Butler and Howard E. Quinn and his wife, Cheryl, of Evans City; 12 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she also was preceded in death by an infant son, David; one brother; and one sister.

QUINN — Family of Kathryn M. Quinn, who died Saturday, June 24, 2017, will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 417 E. Main St., Evans City.
