Billie J. Morabito
Billie J. Morabito, 90, of Butler passed away on Sunday at Fair Winds Manor.
She was born Oct. 16, 1928, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Rex A. Jewell and the late Virginia Dumbaugh Jewell.
Billie was a member of Nixon United Methodist Church.
She graduated from Butler High School in 1946.
Billie was a homemaker. In her earlier years, she worked at Penn Township Elementary School as a cafeteria manager and then later as a cook at the Saxonburg Elementary School.
She attended the Bell Telephone girl luncheons and was a member of Tanglewood Center.
Billie enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles.
Billie is survived by her husband, Vito C. Morabito, whom she married on July 14, 1947; one daughter, Joanne (Patrick) Morabito-Miller; two sons, Keefe (Mona) Morabito and Timothy Morabito; five grandchildren, Kimberly (Irvan) Syam, Gary (Melissa) Kline, Corey (Amanda) Morabito, Rob Latulola and Alex Latulola; eight great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; one brother, Rex (Judy) Jewell; one sister, Nancy Sarver; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Filippone.
MORABITO — Friends of Billie J. Morabito, who died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, will be received from 1 until 5 p.m. Wednesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Immediately following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor B.T.
