Kenneth E. “Ken” Hartman

Kenneth E. “Ken” Hartman, 66, of Chicora Road, Butler, Oakland Township, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Thursday at his home.

Kenneth was born in Clarion on Dec. 8, 1950. He was the son of the late Albert K. and Jean Elizabeth Ohnsman Hartman.

Ken was a 1968 graduate of Karns City High School.

He was a member of the Butler United Methodist Church and a longtime, well-known, active member of Crossfire Ministries.

Ken enjoyed reading his Bible, had a great love for music, and worked for Crossfire Ministries as their sound technician.

He looked forward to camping at Clear Creek State Park, family get-togethers and watching Steelers football.

He is survived by two children, Kylie J. Codispot and her wife, Ashlee, of Lyndora, and Neal K. Hartman of Butler; a brother, Jeff Hartman of Akron, Ohio; three sisters, Susan Hartman of Gibsonia, Joye A. Shumaker and her husband, Jeff, of Fairview, and Kim McDonald of Merle's Inlet, S.C.; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

HARTMAN — Friends of Kenneth E. “Ken” Hartman, who died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Hile Funeral Home, 339 Chicora-Fenelton Road, Chicora.A memorial service will be held at the Crossfire Campus of the Butler United Methodist Church, 1802 N.
