Betty C. Meyer (Elizabeth Louise Cearfoss Meyer)
Betty C. Meyer (Elizabeth Louise Cearfoss Meyer), 84, of Butler passed away Saturday at the Lowrie House.
She was born July 18, 1933, in New Castle, and was the daughter of the late John Cearfoss and the late Betty Orres.
Betty retired as a sales manager for AT&T, now Lucent Technologies, after 41 years.
She enjoyed doing word puzzles and liked to go for walks. She loved the beach, especially Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina. Betty also loved her cats.
Betty is survived by her husband, Joseph J. Meyer, whom she married on April 6, 1953; one son, Timothy L. (Kathleen) Meyer of Eden, N.Y.; one daughter, Cheryl (Gary) Shields of Prospect; one granddaughter, Autumn Danielle Meyer of Lackawanna, N.Y.; one brother, Jack Cearfoss of New Castle; one sister, Darlene Cribbs of Sharpsville, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jody Ellen Meyer; one brother, Robert Cearfoss; and one brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” Cribbs.
MEYER — There will be no public visitation for Betty C. Meyer, who died Saturday, May 26, 2018.Private funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev.
