Eileen C. Redick Sloan, 75, a 48-year resident of 808 Enterprise Road, GroveCity, died at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday at Magee-Womens Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness.

Born in Venango Township, Nov. 5, 1931, she was the daughter of Frank W. and Laura Estella Norris Redick.

She was a graduate of the Concord Township High School.

Mrs. Sloan was a homemaker and enjoyed collecting bears. She also enjoyed table games, picnicking and her grandchildren.

Mrs. Sloan was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grove City, where she belonged to the choir, taught Sunday school and worked in the nursery.

Surviving are her husband, Walter A. Sloan, whom she married July 2, 1954; six children, Laurie Freel and her husband, Gary, of Imlay City, Mich., Amy Tomson and her husband, Dave, of Mercer, Beth Clouse and her husband, Mike, of High Pointe, N.C., Mark Sloan of Harrisville and Dane Sloan and his wife, Carol, and Jay Sloan, all of GroveCity; and a brother, Bruce L. Redick of Fruitport, Mich.

She also is survived by 12 grandchildren, Maribeth, Michael, Noah and Adam Freel, Brant Brock, Braden, Cody and Colt Sloan and Alyssa, Cassie and Mike Clouse.

A son, Jeffrey Sloan; two brothers, Ken and Dennis Redick; and a daughter-in-law, Dianna Cokain Sloan, preceded her in death.

<B>SLOAN </B>— Friends of Eileen C. Sloan, who died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church, 103 Cranberry Road, Grove City, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will be at the East Unity Cemetery, Venango Township.
