YOUNGSTOWN — Sam Basso pitched six solid innings and Brady Gavula hit a tiebreaking home run in the eighth inning Saturday as the Butler Iron Bucks defeated Creekside, 6-4, in the Tri-State Collegiate Baseball League final Saturday night at Pemberton Park.

The Iron Bucks, 14-12 in the regular season, advance to face Meadville in the best-of-three series for the overall league title this week.

Ryan Oroz was the winning pitcher in relief.

All three league championship games will be played at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Pullman Park.
