A July wedding is being planned by Shelly Ross of Allison Park and Alex Keffalas of Butler.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gene and Diane Ross of Tarentum. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Pete and Elizabeth Keffalas of Butler.

The bride-elect is a 1995 graduate of Highlands High School. She earned a bachelor of science degree in secondary education in 1999 from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and a master's degree in education in 2003 from the University of Pittsburgh. She works for the Seneca Valley School District in Harmony.

Her fiancé is a 1985 graduate of Butler High School and a 1990 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, earning a bachelor of science in chemical engineering. He works for Blue Mountain Environmental Management in Valencia.
