An April 9 wedding is being planned by Rosa Chen-Hui Ren of Oakland, Calif., and Frank Pelkofer III of Mount View, Calif.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ling Yun Ren and Kim Lone Ren, both of San Francisco. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Frank and Melanie Pelkofer Jr. of Karns City.

The bride-elect graduated in 1990 from Lowell San Francisco High School, in 1994 from MIT with a bachelor of science in civil engineering and in 2002 from the University of California at Berkeley with master of science in information systems and management. She works as a usability engineer for People Soft in Pleasanton, Calif.

Her fiancé graduated in 1990 from Moniteau High School and in 1994 from MIT with a bachelor of science in aerospace engineering. He served five years in the Navy as a lieutenant in the submarine service and works for Loral Space Systems in Palo Alto, Calif.
