Butler City and township police responded to a call shortly after 10:30 p.m. Thursday about shots fired on North 6th Avenue. Several police cruisers were on the scene as officers closed the street from West Penn to Wood streets, reportedly searching for shell casings.

Calls on the police scanner indicated that area officers also were searching for a white Chrysler reportedly involved in the incident.

Police this morning declined comment on their investigation, but said no arrests have been made.
