More than 1,000 Jeeps are coming this year to the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival from 25 states and Canada.

The five states with the most Jeeps registered are: Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Maryland and Virginia.

Other Jeep owners are traveling across the United States to attend the festival.

Some are even coming from these far away states: Wisconsin, Missouri, Nebraska, Texas, Wyoming, California,Washington and Florida.

The Butler Amateur Radio Club W3UDX will help promote the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival on a special event station “K3J” on the operating frequency of 7.230 MHz +/-.It will operate from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.This will allow amateur radio operators around the world to learn about the festival and the birthplace of the Jeep.

The bridge replacement at the intersection of Interstate 79 and Route 422 will cause problems getting to the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival.The northbound I-79 on-ramp is closed, but all off-ramps onto Route 422 are open.If you need to travel north when you leave the festival, follow the northbound traffic detour using Route 19 north.
