Edwina J. Double

Edwina J. Double, 54, of West Sunbury passed away unexpectedly at 12:48 a.m. Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital after battling heart disease all of her life.

Edwina was born Feb. 7, 1961, in Clay Township.

She was the daughter of the late William H. Double and the late Patricia Lamoreaux Double.

Edwina was a member of the Springdale Lutheran Church where she served as the vice president of the church council.

Edwina was a 1979 graduate of Moniteau High School and also a graduate of Gannon University.

She worked with special needs children at various facilities in the area. Edwina enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles and gardening.

Edwina is survived by her fiance, John Kuhn of West Sunbury; three sisters, Mrs. Myron (Diane L.) Greenert of North Washington, Mrs. Greg (Connie A.) Ice of West Sunbury and Mrs. David (Lori) Baxter of Butler; and one brother, Randall W. Double of New Castle.

Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

DOUBLE — Friends of Edwina J. Double, who died Friday, June 26, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Carl Hendrickson, her pastor, officiating.
