Dorothy L. Hockenberry
Dorothy L. Hockenberry, 78, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Prospect, died early Sunday morning at the Autumn Grove Care Center in Harrisville.
She was born in Butler on March 26, 1934, and was the daughter of Charles and Ida Marcia Osgood Maharg.
She was a member of the Slippery Rock Baptist Church and was a former member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Prospect.
She was a housewife.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Dennis) Claypoole of Slippery Rock and Marcia (Randy) Criss of Cranberry Township; two sons, Keith (Patricia) Daugherty of Grove City and Robert Hockenberry of Cranberry Township; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one brother, John Maharg of Butler.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Bernard Daugherty, who died Oct. 27, 1973, and Robert B. Hockenberry, who she married Aug. 11, 1977, and who died Dec. 17, 2000; and one son.
HOCKENBERRY — Visitation for Dorothy L. Hockenberry, who died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Jay Bryan Funeral Home 443 Main St., Prospect.Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Hockenberry of the New Castle Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Prospect.
