Dennie L. Scott
Dennie L. Scott, 69, of Butler, Penn Township, died Wednesday afternoon at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.
Born March 13, 1947, in Butler, he was the son of the late Elmer R. and Helen G. Hovis Scott.
Dennie had been a research scientist for Applied Science Associates in Butler.
He had been a member of the Middlesex Presbyterian Church.
An avid camper, he and his wife started tent camping and ended with a motor home. He was a member of the Moraine Blazing Stars Camping Club and had been vice president and computer director for the Family Campers and RVers Association.
An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was also a member of the Butler County Democratic Committee.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Kelley Scott, whom he married Oct. 26, 1968; three sons, Dennis Scott, Jr. and his wife, Marivic, of Culpepper, Va., Shawn Scott and his wife, Amy, of Mars and Jeremy Scott and his wife, Lindsey, of Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Madison, Ethan, Colin and Riley; and his brother, Ronnie Scott and his wife, Carol, of Butler.
SCOTT — Friends of Dennie L. Scott, who died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
