Ted and Janet Collins

Ted and Janet Collins, of Summit Township, celebrated 50 years of marriage recently.

Collins married the former Janet Galan on July 7, 1973, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Summit Township.

They have four children, Earl Collins, Matt Collins and Joanne Bowser, all of Butler, and Lisa McCrey of Hemingway, S.C.

They also have 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Collins retired from the U.S. Army as a first sergeant after 22 years of service. He also retired from AK Steel.

He is a member of American Legion Post 117 in Butler and the East Butler Volunteer Fire Department.

Mrs. Collins is a homemaker.

They are both members of St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Summit Township.
