Scott W. Voigt, 56, of Butler passed away Friday evening with his loving family at his side. He bravely fought a long battle with Huntington's Disease.

Born Sept. 14, 1956, in Parma, Ohio, he was the son of June Hydock Voigt and the late Travers Voigt.

He was employed as a jeweler for the Zale Corp. in Butler.

Mr. Voigt was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Pollock Voigt; one son, Jake S. Voigt and his wife, Julie, of Pittsburgh; three daughters, Jessica Savannah and her husband, Fran, of Butler, Jennifer Voigt of Butler and Jamie Voigt of Butler; and three grandchildren.

He also is survived by his mother, June Hydock Voigt of Ohio; four brothers, Tim Voigt of Texas, Travers Voigt of Ohio, Patrick Voigt and his wife, Loree, of Ohio and Terry Voigt of Ohio; and three sisters, Colleen Gonzalez and her husband, Chava, of Mexico, Liz Shaker and her husband, Frank, of Ohio and Connie Voigt of Ohio.

VOIGT — Friends of Scott W. Voigt, who died Friday, Jan, 4, 2013, will be received at the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
