Donald Lee King

Donald Lee King, 80, of Butler passed away at 8:20 p.m. Friday at the Butler VNA Medical Center.

He was born on July 16, 1933, in Butler to the late Mont King and Viola (Cranmer) King.

Mr. King was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He worked as a bakery delivery driver for Chantler, Keystone and Stroehmann Bakery from where he retired.

Mr. King was a member of the VFW Post 249 and Butler Elks Lodge 170. He loved his family and, in his younger days, he loved to golf.

Mr. King is survived by his wife of 58 years, Daneen (Deal) King, who he married on Aug. 18, 1956; his son, William Kent King and his wife, Margie, of Savannah, Ga.; his daughter, Kelly Rae King of Surprise, Ariz.; his four grandchildren, Matthew Donald King of Pittsburgh, Morgan Daneen King of Atlanta, Ga., Jordan Lang of Milwaukee, Wis., and Tyler Lang of White Water, Wis.; his twin great-grandchildren, Gage and Trinity King; and his three sisters, Janet McCaw, Delores Bennett and Judy Morgan, all of Butler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberlee Lang, who passed away on June 19, 2010; his two brothers, Jack King and Gary King; and also by his sister, Beverly King.
