Thomas Wayne Balsamo
Thomas Wayne Balsamo, 57, of Grapeville, Pa., formerly of Parker, passed away from complications from his battle with cancer on Tuesday at Westmoreland Hospital.
Born Sept. 26, 1960, in Butler, he was the son of the late Anthony Wayne Balsamo and Dana Anderson Balsamo, who survives.
He was a graduate of the Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School. Before he became ill, Tom had worked for the last 12 years at the Style-Rite Manufacturing Company in Westmoreland.
He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and spending time with his dogs.
In addition to his mother, Dana, Tom is survived by his wife, Donna Opsitnick of Grapeville, Pa.; three daughters, Lisa (Jim) Loughner of Youngwood, Lori (Nick) Mosley of Greensburg, and Karena (Ray) Milford of Knox; one son, Jason Balsamo of Eau Claire; two sisters, Valerie Gillespie of Butler, and Danielle (Bud) Balsamo of Manor; and one grandson, Aiden Mosley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Renee.
