Donald Floyd Day
Donald Floyd Day, 83 of Ontario, Calif., passed away April 28.
He was born April 14, 1933, and moved to Montclair, Calif., in 1956. Don worked as a millwright for Potlatch/Simpson Paper Company for 40 years. Upon his retirement, he and his wife, Audrey, moved to Banning, Calif., where they resided for 17 years.
Don served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Salem and was a member of the volunteer fire department for the city of Montclair for 12 years.
Don is survived by his wife of 63 years, Audrey Adaire Day; five children, Kimberly Madden, Terri Colvil (Gary), Mindy Buckmaster (Jeff), Tammi Simpson (Mike) and Donnie Day (Kris); 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Day (Pam) and Richard Day (Loretta); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ethel Day.
DAY — Graveside services for Donald Floyd Day, who died Thursday, April 28, 2016, will be at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, Calif.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to alz.org or Southern California Alzheimer's Association, 1-800-272-3900.
