Peter Hrip
Peter Hrip, 95, of Lyndora passed away Sunday at Chicora Medical Center.
Born Aug. 21, 1921, in Lyndora, he was a son of the late Andrew and Mary Onafrak Hrip.
He worked as a crane operator for Armco, where he retired following 40 years of service.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora. He was a member of the Armco Golf League. He also enjoyed going on bus trips with his wife to casinos, the Steelers and Pirates games, fishing and bowling. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are his daughter, Sharon (Gerald) Allen of Prospect; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Kirk Hrip, who died Feb. 9, 2017, who he married Sept. 18, 1943; three sons, Peter, Michael and Paul Hrip; and 11 siblings.
HRIP — Friends of Peter Hrip, who died Sunday, March 26, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A parastas service will take place at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
